Singapore is located in south-east Asia at the southern tip of the
Malaysian Peninsula, between Malaysia and Indonesia. It has a total area of 632.6 sq km of which 622.6 sq km is land. Singapore is an island with 193 km of coastline. The country is a focal point for south-east Asian sea routes.
